Tucked away in Honolulu, this is a 5-star place. I compared it to my experience in Ginza, Tokyo and it met my expectations. The place is very clean, calm and relaxing. The prices are affordable and they even have monthly memberships! I will definitely be coming back my mom. Thank you a great experience!

Asami is so nice and welcoming. She addressed the headache, neck and shoulder tension that I was having prior to the head spa. She provided the best scalp massage with the perfect amount of pressure.

Maki is the best. She's so sweet, listens to your concerns and is so attentive. I love my monthly booking with her.

This was my 2nd time to visit this Headspa. The interior of salon is improved and it is nicer. The owner/manager is always friendly and welcoming. I feel her genuine personality. The prices are also reasonable.
One things though, I always wish that the space would be a little bit more private because I can hear all conversation between the other customers and therapists. The other customers sometimes do not recognize the set up and talk loud or make phone calls and breaks my soothing moment.

Maki is very professional and creates calm, respectful space, which I become very relaxed and feel safe during the treatment session. Her technique is also very reliable and trustworthy as well.

If I could give Head Spa 10 STAR rating I would!!

A girlfriend mentioned that she goes to Head Spa and I was very curious to experience this place because she told me she has gone four times for different services. They specialize in different Japanese Head Spa - Hair quality improvement , Relaxation, Eye Strain Relief, Insomnia, Neck Stiffness along with Delux Head Spa Treatments. You can also get facials. They also give you options to add to your experience like extra neck and shoulder massage, peppermints foot scrub, heating eye mask, hand mask, and delightful facial among other options.

The business was so easy to find on South King St. it's located next door to Baskin and Robin's Ice Cream Shop. There's a lot of parking!

The moment I stepped into Head Spa you immediately relax. It's clean, quiet, spa music is playing and Yoshimi is there to welcome you! She's just the sweetest person.
- my go to technician is Sumi! Peaceful energy and also provides a lot of strong pressure for my sessions!

For the first time I went I decided to try the Relaxation Head Spa and added the Delightful Facial.

Yoshimi has me put my stuff in a locker located next to the door and you can hold onto your key. The technician comes out and helps you get settled into your area. You put your top/shirt and whatever else you have into a basket, and you put on a robe top that snaps at the front exposing your shoulders and neck. You are laid into a massage chair pod and by this time you're ready to just melt. My technician started out with my facial and I would tell you how it went but I fell asleep throughout the whole experience!
After you're done they take you to your chair so you can drink some tea and eat crackers that they give to you at the end which is a wonderful touch.

I went back a second time and treated my son to a Relaxation Head Spa for Boy's Day. He walked out and I knew that he was so relaxed that he needed a moment to sit and have his tea and cookies.

My second time for service my husband also got a Head Spa at the same time and I (requested Sumi) actually ended up buying a membership package. Go to website to see the different memberships offered.

I've gone a third time (Again- Sumi was my technician) for a relaxation Head Spa and again with Sumi for just a Ageless Facial!

I am seriously so hooked.

My treatment began with the facial… but honestly, I can’t fully describe it because I fell asleep during most of the experience! That alone should say everything.After the service, they guide you to a chair where you can slowly wake up with tea and crackers — such a thoughtful and comforting touch.I loved it so much that I went back a second time and treated my son to a Relaxation Head Spa for Boy’s Day ????. When he walked out, he looked so relaxed that he just sat quietly enjoying his tea and cookies for a while afterward.On another visit, my husband booked a Head Spa at the same time as me, and after requesting Sumi again, I ended up purchasing one of their membership packages. They offer several membership options on their website depending on what you’re looking for.Since then, I’ve returned again for another Relaxation Head Spa with Sumi and also booked an Ageless Facial with her as well.At this point, I can honestly say I’m completely hooked.I highly, highly recommend Head Spa on South King Street in Honolulu. It truly feels like finding a hidden gem.

I love this business. It’s my second time back and I’ll definitely continue to go here for my head spa. The atmosphere is so relaxing and comfortable. The owner/manager is so kind as well and even noted that I’ve been here before so thanked me for returning. It’s little touches like that to make u feel special.

Nakaia was amazing! I booked a relaxation head spa with an added facial massage and I didn’t want it to end. The pressure was perfect, I felt like I could have fallen asleep but didn’t want to miss out on the massage! Lol

The location was initially tricky for me, but I don't live in town. The spa is clean, equipment well maintained and I felt comfortable and relaxed from start to finish.

I booked two head spa experiences. Both with Sumi and I loved both of them. She was very professional, courteous and kind. She made sure the temp of the water was just right and the pressure was comfortable for me. I would definitely recommend Sumi and can't wait to enjoy more head spa experiences in the future.

I am a monthly subscriber since Dec 2025. After experiencing other treatments and technicians, I will opt to select Marlo for my monthly request. My neck/shoulder treatment was extremely relaxing. She worked diligently to eliminate the knot in my right shoulder. The massage chairs were effective on arms and legs. I floated out and had a soundful sleep that evening.

I have visited this spa twice now, with Marlo as my massage/facial therapist. Her massage pressure is en pointe, with thoughtful and gentle touches. I am so glad I brought my spouse and friends (on separate occasions!) so we can enjoy some quality R & R. This head spa treatment, manual massage, all the while lying down on a Japanese massage bed(?) truly out of this world. Thank you!

I had such a wonderful experience at this head spa. I appreciated that they explained each step of the facial in advance so I knew exactly what to expect.The massage chair along with Katy’s facial and head, neck, and hand massage was lovely. She created such a relaxing experience from start to finish.A bit sad that I don’t live in Hawaii because I would sign up for a monthly membership. I’ll just have to make sure I come back next time I’m in town!

I absolutely love going to Head Spa. Every single person there is truly the best ! Especially Aoi H!! so kind, professional, and talented. I’ve been consistently coming in for the scalp detox and the results have been incredible. My hair is growing so fast, feels healthier than ever, and my scalp has never felt better. Aoi is the absolute best person ever !! She is super sweet and talented in the art of making you feel super relaxed. Ive been doing the detox scalp massage with the rosemary foot exfoliating scrub and im obsessed!!! Ive been like 10 times already and see amazing results in my hair growth and texture !
